Software995 Inc. announced the launch of Meet In Common, a focused discovery experience that helps people move from something they care about to a small real-world conversation.
Meet In Common is built around a simple idea: common ground comes first. The old way is to meet strangers and hope a connection appears. Meet In Common asks people to choose a topic, story, or event that matters to them first, then helps them find others who chose it too.
The experience emphasizes the topic-to-meet path. People can explore timely public-interest stories, university reporting, books, entertainment, and civic or campus events. That shared subject gives a future conversation a purpose before anyone is introduced.
When a supported topic or article has a public message board, anyone can read it. People who want to post or reply can use a ThinkMatch account, with optional message-board notifications and controls for reporting inappropriate content.
People who want to continue in person can see scheduled Roundtables near their selected location or choose a nearby venue and time to start another. Roundtables are designed for groups of up to four people so everyone has room to participate.
Meet In Common and ThinkMatch have complementary roles. Meet In Common concentrates on discovering a reason to connect. ThinkMatch is the broader participation platform for joining or creating the Roundtable, answering private questions, forming compatible groups, and communicating before the meeting.
People can browse Meet In Common without creating a separate account. When participation requires an identity, a narrowly scoped authorization flow lets them use a ThinkMatch account without giving Meet In Common their ThinkMatch password or access to private party chats.
Campus reporting and public-interest coverage remain attributed and linked to their original publishers. The model creates a path from reading to discussion and local participation while preserving the original source as the authoritative publication.
Meet In Common is free to use and does not contain advertising. Location, reminders, and message-board notifications are optional, and official event registration continues to take place with the original organizer.
"A profile tells you who someone says they are, but a shared choice tells you what both of you care about right now," said Scott Rothstein, Architect at Software995 Inc. "Meet In Common makes that shared choice the starting point and uses ThinkMatch to help turn it into a real conversation."
About Meet In Common
Meet In Common is a focused topic-to-meet discovery experience from Software995 Inc. It helps people explore current topics, campus reporting, books, entertainment, and civic or campus events; read related public discussions; and use ThinkMatch when they are ready to join or start a small nearby Roundtable. Meet In Common can be browsed without creating a separate account.
About ThinkMatch
ThinkMatch is a common-ground-first platform built to change how people meet in real life. People can begin with a topic, story, event, or other shared interest, then find or create a small local Roundtable around it. Guests can answer event-specific questions, and ThinkMatch uses their responses to support more thoughtful introductions, compatible groups, conversation starters, private chat, and optional video before people meet in person. Hosts can also create free public or private events for parties, meetings, campus activities, conventions, community gatherings, and other real-world occasions. ThinkMatch's goal is to make meeting new people feel easier, warmer, and more intentional by giving people a meaningful reason to talk before they walk into the room.
