Situational Leadership Accelerator Course

Register for this course in the Brainier Learning System through PeopleSoft/Self-Service. *This class has a pre-requisite that you have completed Situational Leadership course (virtual or in person) within the last 3 years. Course Goal (exec summary): By the end of this course, learners will review the Situational Leadership II model and practice effectively diagnosing development levels and applying the appropriate leadership styles using the SLII framework. Given example scenarios, participants will identify areas for improvement and rescript leadership style conversations for a more effective match. Learning Objectives Understand the SLII Model: Explain the key components and principles of the Situational Leadership II (SLII) model. Describe the four development levels and matching leadership styles. Diagnose Development Levels: Identify the development levels of team members based on their competence and commitment. Analyze scenarios to accurately diagnose the development levels of individuals. Match Leadership Styles: ​​​​​​​ Practice matching appropriate leadership styles to the diagnosed development levels. Demonstrate the ability to adjust leadership styles to meet the needs of team members in various situations.

Whether you are interested in actively participating as part of a multidisciplinary team or simply attending educational sessions, there are opportunities to engage at every level. During this two-day datathon, participants will work collaboratively to explore real-world health data, address pressing clinical and health services research questions, and develop impactful projects. Teams will receive guidance from clinical subject-matter experts and Epic staff while investigating topics such as: - Quality and patient safety - Clinical operations - Cost-effectiveness - Clinical outcomes Participating teams will have the opportunity to compete for an HSR Center-funded award, which will support the advancement of their projects toward publication, conference presentation, or a larger grant submission. Emory's emergency alert siren and e-Notify system is tested on the first Wednesday of each month at noon, weather permitting. If the weather is questionable, the test will be rescheduled for the second Wednesday. If the weather is questionable on the rescheduled date, the test will be canceled for the month.

Artist & Influence is an annual public event featuring a live oral history interview with a notable contemporary African American artist. Clifton Davis is an actor, singer, composer, producer, and minister. He has appeared on television shows including Clipped, Madam Secretary, and Godfather of Harlem. Davis also wrote Never Can Say Goodbye and Lookin’ Through the Windows for the Jackson 5. He currently stars on the CBS soap opera Beyond the Gates. Tayari Jones is the Charles Howard Candler Professor of Creative Writing at Emory University. She also is the author of five novels, including the New York Times bestselling An American Marriage and, most recently, KIN.
